Substance Abuse Awareness for New and Aspiring Americans

This year, DrugFreeLex has partnered with Global Lex.  Clients of Global Lex have expressed concerns about drug use in their communities and among teenagers immersed in US culture. To address these concerns, Global Lex is planning a workshop series language interpreters will be available to help participants understand the content of the workshops. Participants will leave the workshops armed with more knowledge about substance use that they can use to prevent its impacts in their communities.

E-Cigarette PSA

The Tobacco and Marijuana committee developed a series of PSAs targeted at prevention of e-cigarette use among Fayette County Teens. The videos are targeted at educating adults (parents, teachers, grandparents, etc.) about Juuls.  Click here to view the videos.

Winburn Middle School DARE

DrugFreeLex is partnering with Lexington Police to provide materials for the Winburn Middel Schoole DARE program.

Youth Coalition

DrugFreeLex will work to develop a sustainable youth coalition to get Lexington’s young people involved in substance abuse prevention efforts.
